This project helped me see that you can turn anything into a working and successful piece. Originally our piece was going to be a more serious styled one based around a teen mom's experience with a child, but changed as our teacher wanted us to take a smaller workload. In hindsight I probably would have chosen smaller and volunteered some of my own experiences, as you can turn almost anything into a story. I definitely need to think small, but big if the resources allow.

As I do not like journalism, I could find merit in this project, not so much in the filming, but the editing. The editing process showed me that endings must come, and a fade can make them seem less awkward. I also learned a fair amount about piecing together audio and video. Sound editing was also another piece of editing I heavily utilized by lowering some sound in some places and boosting it in others.

This project did not contain many complex or necessarily hard filming challenges, but our first film attempt was a huge back flop. We did not check our sound so we did not have any for our original cut. Luckily, we were able to re shoot and the second time around we got what we needed. Next time, I will definitely not start filming until I have checked the sound is on.

In conclusion, this project does not hold much favor or good memory, but is certainly one of my most valuable learning experiences. I yearn to get over to entertainment, but I do see journalism's applications in our short interviews, and their practical skills.
