Pop Art

Pop Art Project
This project was one that helped me realize my actual skill level and problem solving ability. I found that I had retained many of the previously learned tools and tips, such as the clone stamp and adjustment layers. This was a very hard project as my theme was garbage can, not a lot to do with that. Before I could do anything I had to isolate the trash can to make the image pop as the surrounding environment was just not flashy enough.

After I separated the can I experimented with adjustment layers to see how my subject would look in different shades of color and lighting. As soon as that was done I wanted to give a dark yellow and green feel to the piece, sort of like garbage. That's when I decided to turn the actual inside of the can green. To do this I made a few squares of dark greens and yellows and clone stamped them inside of the can and behind the cans as well. To accomplish a feel of trash cans on a curb waiting to be picked up I had to get more cans, without a person inside. So I took the person out of the picture, leaving with the need to reconstruct the back of the trash can rim. By using clone stamp I did alright, not great, but decent. I then copied the layer and placed them appropriately around the central image.
